Mission

The Alabama Communication Association (ACA) is a scholarly organization that works to increase the status of communication scholarship and practice in the state of Alabama and the surrounding regions. ACA also engages current and future scholars by providing opportunities for networking with other Alabama communication scholars and professionals.

Annual Conference

The ACA hosts an annual conference each summer. The conference is held at different colleges and universities in the state of Alabama and features opportunities for communication students, faculty, and practitioners to present research, teaching ideas, and other work.

Journal of Contemporary Rhetoric

The ACA publishes The Journal of Contemporary Rhetoric, a peer-reviewed journal that promotes critical engagement with rhetorical dimensions of current events.
